Lucy's winter wishlist
Shopping Winter Key Buys @Matches London with blogger Lucy Williams
by Anouk Bos
She inspires the way thousands of us dress, so we were curious how does Lucy Williams from the popular blog Fashion me Now do it? Exclusively for our readers, we assigned our guest blogger Lucy Williams to select her top 10 ultimate winter haunts at the Matches boutique on Marylebone Highstreet, one of London's most stylish and eclectic shopping streets. Inspirational designers and essential items - this is where your winter shopping list starts. Bear with us here, this is getting interesting.
Lucy arrived 10 minutes after us and as a real style muse she got out of her typical London cab, her blond hair shining in the early morning sun, holding a fashionable Starbucks Latte in her hand. Once in the store Simone from Matches welcomed us. Did you know Matches was founded in 1990 and is nowadays famous for its elegant retail experience and cutting edge labels? The London in crowd knows it for a while now: at Matches you can buy the best of the best. With already five stores in London and an online shop shipping worldwide, Matches is taking over London and the world by storm.

"I'm a real Isabel Marant fan-she just has an amazing knack for knowing just how girls want to dress. This oversized coat is a real favorite and caught my eye as soon as I walked in-it's low-key, casual and cool. I'd team with jeans or leather trousers with black ankle boots. It would just slot perfectly into my wardrobe and is definitely my number 1 must have".

"More Isabel Marant for the wish list, these bracelets are right up my street . They're a steal costing only 50 pounds and really lighten up your outfit and are a great way to add a sense of summer to outfits, even in the depths of winter."

"This leather skirt from Acne is amazing. Try styling it with a navy blue jumper like this one here, also from Acne; a softer, modern alternative to black, navy is my favorite colour for the season. The skirt as stunning as this deserves bare, lightly (fake) tanned legs so I'd battle the cold by throwing on my classic, grey crombie coat over the top. Style over practicality but who cars when it looks this good!"

Passing by the Celine corner, Lucy couldn't leave the beautiful clutches and shoes alone! "Slippers are a real must this season and these Celine ones are the most beautiful ones I've seen. Working as a subtle nod to the pyjama-dressing trend seen everywhere this season, these are on-trend whilst also being a classic wardrobe staple, something that's always very important to me, especially with investment pieces like these ."

The stone red jumper from Celine is a real eye catcher and Lucy is surprised by its softness, adding it immediately to her Winter wishlist. "I think I might actually turn into a jumper this season, I've already bought so many knits! This Celine number is gorgeous-cosy, warm and stunningly stylish. Perfect!"

Lucy is in love with coats, she reveals while heading in the direction of a green tweed/leather coat by 3.1 Philip Lim. With sparkling eyes she admits this is her ultimate craving: "Everything is right about this coat: the colour, the combination of materials, the silhouette. I'm in love! Must have with a capital M"

" I've been a bag girl since I can remember. I always go for black and look for timeless, classic designs rather than trend-led bags. I'm in love with this one from Yves Saint Laurent. The colour, the metal logo and the softness of the leather will give your outfit an instant style boost and would last forever."

"This winter I have to have jeans with some kind of animal print on it, whether it's snake or leopard (my personal favourite). Style them with a blouse and leather biker jacket and some killer heals, or go casual by wearing a jumper and some Tabitha Simmons (do we have picture? if so let's put 'like these') boots. These jeans from Current Elliot are THE ultimate leopard print pair-one of my best friend's has these and I've been coveting them ever since I first spied them! "

"A winter without fur? Fur is like a winter without snow for me. At the moment, I'm a big fan of fur vests and gilets-I like to throw them over my trusty biker jacket and have the leather sleeves and biker collar on show. You can't beat fur for warmth and it adds instant chic to any outfit. Just as good over every day, relaxed looks like what I'm wearing today as it is over a slinky evening dress."

"I'm officially a hat addict. My bedroom at my house is overflowing with all sorts of shapes and styles but the classic trilby or fedora is a classic favorite. Maison Michel hats are always snapped on all the Street Style blogs and have an amazing array of colours to suit everyone and anyone. I'd go for classic light grey as a warm, chic alternative to the knitted beanie this winter."
